Born in Roma, Italy, 1937.
Degree in Law at the Università of Roma, in 1960 and Master in Business Administration at IPSOA ( connected with the Harvard Business School ), Torino, Italy, in 1961.
He introduced in Italy the organizational theories developed by Elliott Jaques at the Tavistock Institute and at Glacier Institute of Management, which he attended in London. From 1965 to 1968, he served as
Manager of the Department of Organizational Structure and Job Evaluation at 3M Minnesota Italia s.p.a.
In 1969 he entered the furniture industry, as Deputy Managing Director at C&B Italia, a position he held until 1972; from 1973 to 1980 he served as Managing Director of Cassina, Italy, and continued in the same company, as Vice Chairman of the Board and President, until 1991.
In this capacity he guided Cassina to become a leader in the design furniture industry, developing its internationalization. In so doing, he also served as a Director for Atelier International USA and Cassina Japa
