The project
Mad offers exhibitions, meetings, performances and workshops focusing on contemporary themes and artistic languages, with a strongly interdisciplinary approach. The Magazine Hall and the artists' residences offer a place for updating and training. MAD is a centre of research and artistic production for the city and about the city.

Nick Dines
Urban sociologist
Nick Dines is an urban sociologist and is currently Jean Monnet Fellow at the Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute, Fiesole. He is the author of numerous publications on contemporary urban change and international migration, including the monograph Tuff City: Urban Change and Contested Space in Central Naples (New York, 2012). Among his current projects, he is researching on the politics of cultural diversity in Rabat and Cape Town.
