Mad offers exhibitions, meetings, performances and workshops focusing on contemporary themes and artistic languages, with a strongly interdisciplinary approach. The Magazine Hall and the artists' residences offer a place for updating and training. MAD is a centre of research and artistic production for the city and about the city.

He is an architect. He teaches Architectural and Urban Design and is head of research projects carried out on behalf of public and private entities and the author of various publications concerning urban space in relation to the processes of transformation of contemporary society. He is the director of DIDA’s UD-Urban Design Lab and co-director of LAA-Architecture and Self-construction Lab, and a member of DIDA’s FAL- Florence Accessibility Lab Research Unit.
